Updated Answer: Subject: Re: Getty family See Kent Branch Research Policy. If you have a name from Kent Co., Ontario mail it along with a cheque and our staff will do a search of census, cemeteries, etc in our library. We will photocopy results and mail them to you. ... OR for cemeteries you could check the OCFA which has nearly all of the transcribed tombstones indexed. Please be aware it is an index of names which appear on the stones. They might not be buried there. Also please be aware the transcriptions were done circa 1980. http://www.islandnet.com/cgi-bin/ms2/jveinot/search

Reply: Date: Wed, 28 May 2003 22:25:29 -0400 Yes we have produced the 1901 City of Chatham census. It probably took over 75 man hours for it to be done. We sell our publications to support our library holdings and it's purchases, to make it a greater resource. If you feel it is only one family that you want we will photocopy the page for $3.00 which includes posting it back to you. Also our library is open Mon.-Sat. 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm for you to use our materials. I see you live not far away. Hope this answers your question. [....]
