Here in Canada
if we pay $1.00 for one litre (of gasoline, for example)
we are paying $4.55 for one gallon (imperial)
or paying $3.15 for one gallon (liquid, USA)
If gasoline goes up 10˘ per litre it is the same as going up 45˘ per gallon.
Anyone remember when gasoline was less than 45˘ per gallon?
Anyone remember when it was 5 gallons for a dollar?
Some people have said the Government should investigate the high price of gasoline.
But, much of the price is government taxes; taxes on a percentage basis.
The higher the price of gasoline, the more taxes the Government collects.
