Beginning, Middle, End

Student is given the middle of the story and draws and picture for the beginning and end and then fills in the writing underneath the picture.

Persuasive Writing

Student is given a point of view to present persuasive writing. The graphic organizer focuses the student to come up with a beginning and an ending sentence which hooks the reader.

Student is given story prompts to sequentially write a story.

Timeline Graphic Organizer

Student are given Timeline with Picture, Title and writing section. They can join sheets to make a longer timeline.

Paragraph Graphic Organizer

Start with a Topic like, "Write about your dog." Students put each sentence on a line, then goes back and checkmarks sentences which are similar eg. checkmarks all sentences that talk about what your dog looks like. Student then rewrites their writing and puts the checkmark sentences (sentences that talk about what their dog looks like) into a paragraph.

Picture Frame/Lines  Organizer

Give your students and picture frame to draw a picture with their writing. You can choose from different sized lines.                   

Letter Writer  Organizer

Give your students a frame work to write a letter. You can choose from basic to simple.
