Year 2007:

July 31, 2007: We are in the process of changing our contact information. Our original email is rowangln@netrover.com and the new email is rowanglen@sympatico.ca. For a while both emails should work until the process is finalized. If you don't get a timely reply please forward your message to the other email. At some point one will be discontinued but we will post a notice.

April 2, 2007: A gorgeous litter of 3 girls and 2 boys was born this evening. The dam is "Dawn", Rowanglen's New Day Dawning, and the sire is "Mudra", Ch. Delamantha's Divine Mudra. This litter is line-bred on Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot. Check the progress of this litter on the Puppies 2007 page.

January 4, 2007: Congratulations to Helen Gallantry, owner of a veteran performance champion, Rowanglen's Gallant Dream, featured in the new Performance section of this site.

Year 2005 - Highlights:

April 22, 2005: A new Champion for Danny: Congratulations to Sharon MacLean for her new Ch Sharl's Gallant Knight. "Sid" received Winners Dog under Mr. D. Ojalvo for 3 points at the Guelph Show. This is now Champion #3 for his sire, Ch Rowanglen's New Day.

April 17, 2005: A new champion for Lance: Congratulations to Carol Watt who breeder/owner handled Ch Delamantha's Divine Mudra to his Championship. "Mudra" finished at the Kent Show. This is now Champion #7 for his sire, Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot.

March 5 & 6, 2005: At the International Show at Cloverdale, BC, a new title was aquired for "Joy". She is now Multi-BPIG Can Ch & NEW International Ch Sharls Rowanglen O Be Joyful HIC CGN! Joy is sired by Can/Am Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot and her dam is Sharls Lady Guinivere. Congratulations to owner, Zara Heartwood, breeder, Sharon MacLean, and handlers, Debbie Moraes and her daughter, Miranda.


Year 2004 - Highlights:

September 24, 2004: Another "Lance" son, Delamantha's Divine Mudra, went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for 3 points under judge, Mr. Richard Paquette. "Mudra" is sired by Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot and his dam is Delamantha's Winds of Devotion. Mudra was breeder/owner handled by Carol Watt.

September 10, 2004: New Champion! "Flair" is now Ch Sharls Rowanglen Solar Flair. She finished at the Oceanside KC show under judge, Donna Cole.

July 4-5, 2004: We have a new Champion! On July 4th at the Kawartha KC show under Mrs. Jane Forsyth, Rowanglen's Carmen had a 4-point Winners Bitch win from a large entry. Then again on July 5th Carmen attained her championship with another 4-point Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex under judge, Mr. David Paterson. "Carmen" is just over a year of age and she wowed the audience with her flawless movement. Carmen is sired by Ch Rowanglen's Camelot CD and her dam is Ch Rowanglen's Skylark. She is a half sister to Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot. Since she carried 3 points from a puppy win last year, Carmen is now a new champion, Ch Rowanglen's Carmen! She was breeder/owner handled to all the points.

May 28, 2004: Today Ch Rowanglen's Gold Medallion passed away at 16 1/2 years of age. "Meggy" was the dam of Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot and the dam of 4 champion offspring from very few breedings. She was the last puppy born from a litter of 8 and the minute I saw her I knew she would be the next turning point in my breeding program. Meggy was a very special dog to me and remains forever in my heart.

April 4, 2004: Delamantha's Sky Dance, co-bred with Carol Watt, went Winners Dog at the Norfolk KC show for his first point under judge, Mrs. Terry Carter. "Yogi" is sired by Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot and the dam is Ch Rowanglen Delamantha's Dakini.


Year 2003 - Highlights:

December 19, 2003: Watch the Vicki Gabereau Show today! Check the schedule in your area on CTV. One of the stars on the show is Sharls Rowanglen Solar Flair.

October 4 & 5, 2003: "Joy" achieved her National Championship this weekend at the International Show at Cloverdale, BC. She is now Nat/Can Ch Sharls Rowanglen O be Joyful HIC. Besides getting Best Puppy in Breed twice, she also achieved her 6th Best Puppy in Group at one of the shows and a 3rd in Puppy Group at another.

September 13, 2003: Another Champion! At the Skaha KC show in Penticton, BC, "Joy", now Ch Sharls Rowanglen O Be Joyful, went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best Puppy in Breed under judge, Donna Cole. This is the first champion for owner, Zara Heartwood of Azarel Shelties, the first champion for breeder, Sharon McLean of Sharls Shelties, and the 6th champion for her sire, Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot.

August 29 & September 1, 2003: Great news at the Markham KC shows this weekend: "Sheena" is now a new champion - Ch Rowanglen's Skylark. On the first day of the show she went Winners Bitch for 2 points under judge, Phyllis Wolfish. On the last day of the show she gained an additional 4 points by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and on to Best of Breed over Specials from the classes. This makes her the 5th champion for her sire, Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot.

July 26 & 27, 2003: Here is some grand news from the Prince George shows in BC: "Joy", Sharls Rowanglen O Be Joyful, now sits at 8 points and a grand total of 5 Best Puppy in Groups! Thank you to the following judges who appreciated her quality: Geraldine Taylor - Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy in Breed, and Best Puppy in Group; Denise Cornelsson - Best Puppy in Group; Edna St. Hilare - WB, BW, BOS, BPIB, BPIG; and Barbara Beland - WB, BW, BOS, BPIB, and BPIG! Thanks again to Debbie Moraes who handled her to these wins,

June 8, 2003: The newest Rowanglen addition, "Carmen", won a Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Group and a Group 1st at a CKC Sanction Match sponsored by the Dachshund Club of Greater Ontario. The judge was Charles McInnes who loved the all round quality of this puppy. "Carmen" was just 3 months and a day at this match and it was her first time out.

May 30, 2003: Today at the Aurora KC, Carol Watt handled Ch Rowanglen Delamantha's Dakini to a Best of Breed and a Group 4th win under judge, Betty McHugh. "Sky" is co-owned with Carol Watt..

May 4, 2003: Today at the Burns Lake shows in BC, Sharls Rowanglen O Be Joyful went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy in Breed, and Best Puppy in Group from the junior puppy class. Many thanks to judge, Mr. Merlin Vanderkinder. "Joy" is a daughter of Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot and was bred by Sharon MacLean, handled by Debbie Moraes, and is "joyously" owned by Zara Heartwood of Azarel Shelties.


Year 2002 - Highlights:

December 8, 2002: Today at the Brantford KC show another Lance daughter, "Lexi", went Best Puppy in Group under judge, Mr. Merlin Vandekinder. Lexi was breeder/owner handled by Gaye Shepley of Sunbriar kennels.

October 20, 2001: Today, Rowanglen's Skylark went Winners Bitch for 5 points, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy in Breed, and finally Best Puppy in Group. Not bad for the beginning of her show career at 10 months. "Sheena" was breeder/owner handled. She is another lovely daughter of Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot.

April 14, 2002: A Group 3rd was awarded to Ch Delamantha Dharmakaya at the Champlain Dog Club show under judge, Mr. Michael Hill. "Kaya" was co-bred with Carol Watt and is one of the beautiful daughters sired by Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot. Her dam is Rowanglen Delamantha Dharma.

Year 2001 - Highlights:

November 23 - 25, 2001: Another successful weekend for Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot at the United KC show in Montreal, PQ! Thanks to judges, Mr. James White for the Best of Breed and Group 3rd on the Friday, to Mrs. Sue-Ellyn Rempel for the Best of Breed and Group 4th on the Saturday, and to Dr. Robert Berndt for the Best of Breed on the Sunday. Beautifully presented by handler, Allison Alexander.

November 11, 2001: Another Group 4th for Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot at the Georgina KC show! Thanks to judge, Mrs. M. Robertson, and to handler, Allison Alexander.

October 26, 2001: A Group 4th for Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot at the Trillium Dog Fanciers show! Thanks to judge, Mr. William Taylor, and to handler, Allison Alexander.

September 13 & 15, 2001
: At the Nickel District KC show under Rosemary Shoreman, and at the Sudbury and District KC show under Jim Reynolds, Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot wins Best of Breed and 2 Group 4ths on these dates. He was handled by Allison Alexander.

June 22, 2001: "Sky" finishes under judge, Heather Logan, and is now Ch Rowanglen Delamantha's Dakini ! The win includes another Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite, and Best Puppy in Breed. "Sky" was handled by Carol Watt.

April 28 & 29, 2001: This weekend on the Saturday, Rowanglen Delamantha's Dakini, aka "Sky", obtained her first 5 points by going Best of Winners, Best of Breed, Group 4th, and Best Puppy in Group at the Victoria County KC show under judge, Mrs. Betty McHugh. "Sky" was bred by myself, and is co-owned with Carol Watt, who skillfully handled her to this fine win. On the Sunday, her grandsire, Am/Can Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot, followed her pawprints and went Best of Breed and Group 4th under judge, Mr. L. Kereluke. He was handled by Allison Alexander.

April 6-8, 2001: This weekend in Sherbrooke, PQ, Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot made his debut in the ring with his new handler, Allison Alexander. They made a great team winning Best of Breed all 3 days. In addition, "Lance" obtained a Group 3rd placement on the Friday under judge, Mr. Neil Graves, a Group 2nd placement on the Saturday under judge, Mr. Michel Chaloux, and a Group 4th placement on the Sunday under judge, Mr. Harry Paterson. Thank you all.

March 4, 2001: Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot obtained a Best of Breed under judge, Mr. Joseph Pancel, and a Group 4th placement from judge, Mr. Walter Pinsker, at the Orangeville & District KC show. Thanks to both judges for appreciating the fine qualities of this dog. "Lance" was breeder/owner handled.

Feb. 3, 2001: Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot obtained a Group 3rd placement from judge, Mr. Christopher Neilson, at the Wildwood KC show. Thank you for the fine compliments about this dog. "Lance" was breeder/owner handled.


Year 2000 - Highlights:

Oct. 7 & 9, 2000: This Thanksgiving weekend at the Nipissing KC shows Am/Can Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot won 2 Best of Breeds. He also garnered a Group 4th placement under judge Patricia Miller and another Group 4th placement under judge Betty McHugh. "Lance" was lovingly handled by my friend, Carol Watt.

Sept. 16 & 17, 2000: Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot won Best of Breed from a large Specials class both days at the Sudbury show this weekend. He also won a Group 3rd placement on the first day, and was pulled in the cut for 5th place in the Group at the second show. He was owner/breeder handled by yours truly at these shows.

Aug. 11, 2000: Well today is a red letter day, the day of my most special win. At Ballston Spa, NY, under judge, Mr. Lee Brown, "Lance" got his last Major to finish his American title. He is now officially a dual Champion: Am/Can Ch Rowanglen Sir Lancelot. It will be a looong time before I come down from this cloud!

Aug. 10, 2000: Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot now has 4 Champion offspring. He congratulates his daughter "Shari", now Ch. Delamantha Dharmapada, on her Best of Opposite win from the classes over Specials under judge, Mr.C. Herendeen. Shari is also the 2nd Champion offspring from the same litter for her dam, Rowanglen Delamantha Dharma.

Aug. 2, 2000: "Kaya" went Winners Bitch today at the Muskoka District KC show under judge Cheryl Myers-Egerton, and is now Ch. Delamantha Dharmakaya. This is another champion for her sire Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot, and her dam is Rowanglen Delamantha Dharma.

July 2, 2000: Can. Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot won a 3 point Major today at Bainbridge, NY. "Lance" went Best of Winners and on to Best of Breed over another fine Special from the classes. This now makes a total of 9 points.

June 11, 2000: Co-bred dog, Ch. Foxfawn First Knight won a Group 3rd at the Ontario County KC show.

March 31, 2000: Can. Ch. Rowanglen Sir Lancelot makes the cut at the ASSA National Specialty Show in Pennsylvania. He was beautifully presented by Sheila Monks.

March 26, 2000: "Danny" now finishes his Championship by going Winners Dog under judge, Mr. Lawrence Stanbridge. He is now Ch. Rowanglen's New Day and was breeder/owner handled all the way.
